After earthquake in Japan, many Japanese sought shelter at Korea. The big companies, government and nation tried to help them. Especially, Kolong opened the hotel as a shelter for Japanese for free. Japanese is going to go back to their country as soon as possible. They are staying here temporally so we just give a hand for a while. However, this is a special case. The North Korean and other people who came to Korea as refugee case are different. They won’t go to their country again. Until now, It’ Ok. If half of North Korean and other people came to Korea, how we would support them every day and everything for example living cost, house, job and so on.
We have to change our mind. Actually, Korean also has the race description and bad bias. Even though they are same refugee, we keep the manner to people who came from developed country. But if they were from developing country, we usually looked down on them. Finally, they would regret coming back to Korea.
In other words, we should look after them with open and warm mind while refugee is staying in here and make the effort them to go back to their county if the situation of their county was good.
I agree with you. Korean is no longer a 3rd world county and they have a responsibility to help others as they have been helped in the past. While refugees can cause problems for the host country, as long as the host country has a good policy in place many problems can be avoided.

I agree with some part of your opinion, but I think a little bit diffently. First of all, if we accept all the regugees, then all of the people from poor countries will come to Korea as 'a free shelter'. That's going to make a bigger problem. Then how can we distinguish whether the spy of North Korea or not?
답글삭제I agree with the idea that South Korea should help refugees and make them go back to their countries asap. Also, many Koreans have racism toward people who are from developed country. To stop discriminating those people, we should be open-minded through experiencing and learning other cultures.
